With great pride and satisfaction, we are pleased to announce that the academic journal International Entrepreneurship Review (IER), published by the Centre for Strategic and International Entrepreneurship at Krakow University of Economics, has been officially included in the global Web of Science database - within the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI).

In June 2026, the first Web of Science metrics (ESCI) were published, according to which International Entrepreneurship Review received:

JCI 2025: 0.20

At the same time, it confirms the highest scholarly standards and scientific integrity of the publication. Special congratulations are due to the entire Editorial Team, led by Professor Krzysztof Wach, and the International Editorial Advisory Board for their outstanding work.

What does the inclusion of IER in the Web of Science mean?

• All articles published in IER from 2023 onwards will be indexed in the Web of Science (ESCI), one of the most important and prestigious scientific databases globally.
• The journal now joins the ranks of leading international periodicals, increasing its visibility, citation potential, and global impact.

The journal "International Entrepreneurship Review" was included in the ministerial programme "Support for Scientific Journals" (WCN) for the years 2019-2020 and is placed on the list of 500 Polish journals distinguished for their quality (the list includes only 27 journals in the field of economic sciences in total, i.e. economy and finance as well as management and quality sciences).
